The theatre of age-old culture JAVARYNA was created in 2003.
The leader is Margaryta Kubenkevic.
The regular staff consisting of 6 dancers and 4 musicians.
JAVARYNA makes up and organize scenic and mass variations of ancient dancing. The band's repertoire contains folk, city and courtier dancing of Belarusian and European Renaissance.
The special night open-air performance contains the fire show, scenic fight and Arabian dance, all these being the fascinating composition of music, dance, theatre and the magic of fire.
JAVARYNA achieved great success in revival and popularization of Belarusian ancient dancing culture, working on various directions. The first direction is elaboration of scenic choreographic performance on the base of Early Medieval and Renaissance dances. The second direction is elaboration of simplified versions on the base of folk, city and courtier dances. This work is aimed at spectators, visitors of festivals of medieval culture, medieval music concerts.
There are musicians in the regular staff included. Their repertoire is formed with medieval and archaic dances of Europe and Belarus. The music instruments they use are duda (Belarusan bagpipe), zhalejkas, shalmeis, pipes, cistra, various drums.
According to each period and style JAVARYNA has various costumes and props.
