The lyrics are taken from the Bible of Francysk Skaryna, a facsimile edition in three volumes (Minsk, 1992, V. III). The great Belarusian enlightener and humanist, creator of Eastern Slavic book printing, Francysk Skaryna did his very best to edit the majority of the Old Testament books in Prague in 1517-1519. The first book, Psalter, saw the light on August 6th, 1517. The Belarusian phonetic transcription is written by Zmicier Sasnoŭski.
