The Budzin Battle took place in Hungary in 1676. Budzin is the Belarusian name of a part of contemporary Budapest that previously consisted of two towns – Buda and Pest. Closer to the middle of the 17 c. Ottoman Empire conquered all Balkans and reached Hungary. A crusade to liberate Christian lands from Muslims was declared (in the song is 'pahanych' - pagans). Austrian, Czech, Polish and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania arms participated in the crusade. The song is devoted to the assault of Buda (Budzin) united with Christian troops and the liberation from the Turks.
Viesieliciesia, liudzie!
Ruki uznasicie, a Boha prasicie,
Niech navieki tak budzie.
Pad Budzin khdy stajali,
Mocnyi viniety tam svai namiety
I z inymi rascilali.
Mocno sia nahaniajeć,
Iz uhorskich daŭnych, iz horadoŭ slaŭnych,
Jak psoŭ, ich vyhaniajuć.
Miečem jeho vyhaniali.
Tam doŭha stajali, s kroŭju jaho ŭziali,
A turkaŭ ŭsich pascinali.
Turkaŭ u Budzinie,
Usich zabivali, a nie folkhovali
Nie mieńšoj dzicinie.
Turki u Budzinie
Juž pavyniščeny, miečem pasiečeny,
Pabity jak svinie.
Prava predstanuć,
Pred prečystu Pannu, a Panna čystaja
Niechaj turkaŭ zahladzić.
Viesieliciesia, liudzie!
Ruki uznasicie, a Boha prasicie,
Niech navieki tak budzie.
